Hi, I’m Kody

Hi, I’m Kody, self-proclaimed Queen of Twisted Dreams.

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m a damn professional. (*drowns in sarcasm*)

No, not really. Half the time I don’t know what I’m doing or why. I’m just another person on the internet adding my voice to the cacophony. If you’ve stumbled over here by accident, this blog will contain the occasional book review, several posts about dealing with various mental health issues (and sometimes physical health as an added bonus), a large number of posts dedicated to ranting about 50shades of theft, and all other sorts of randomness.

At the very least, I hope something here makes you laugh at least a little.

Please enjoy your visit. If you like anything you see, please consider following the page or joining the email subscription. If you enjoy your randomness in a live-action format, subscribe to my YouTube channel as well.

You can also find me on twitter and Facebook.

About the site/facebook page/youtube channel formal name, which was “slightly less than insane” :

I know a lot of people feel like crazy, insane, OCD, bipolar, depressed, etc… are thrown out there far too casually and used in trendy or kitschy ways. (For example: She keeps her house too clean, she’s so OCD. or I can’t go out this weekend, lulz I’m so depressed!) Honestly, I do feel like a lot of it is overused and overdone. Mental health terms used as slang don’t exactly help people with mental health issues.

So why, you wonder, would I call my stuff Slightly Less Than Insane? Well. Because I am one of those people with mental health issues. My issues include, but are not limited to: major depressive disorder, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sound sensitivity, intrusive thoughts, dyslexia (visual and auditory), nightmare disorder, insomnia………

Yeah.

  1. Thanks for the follow! Came to take a look at your blog and I love it. Entertaining, and you got some awesome kids there (which means awesome parents!). Following back now.

  2. Heyo. I found you through Jenny Trout, and I’ve been following your dismantling of the plagiarism in 50 Shades. I work as a publicist for Circlet Press (www.circlet.com) and was wondering if you guys would like to run some guest posts for a blog tour we’re organizing, for BDSM writers who are NOT horrible lunatic people. Interested? I’m authorized to bribe you with reviews copies of whatever you want. 🙂

    • Well, I’m not a BDSM writer, I actually have zero skill at writing sex scenes, but I recognize and accept that about myself. 🙂 But I’ll try to work something up if you want. Do you have a link to what you are looking for?

      • We’ve actually got the Q&A with the authors already, we’re offering them around as guest posts for other people who think they’re an interesting thing to run in their own blogs. 🙂 We’re doing two other tours as well, one for some steampunk erotic romances, and one for a LGBT SF/F anthology called Wired Hard 5. You’re welcome to review copies of everything involved, if you’d like to see what they’re all about.

        • Ah, gotcha! Sure, I’ll review what you have, see if anything would match up with this blog (which is admittedly fairly eclectic..).

  3. Awesome! Drop me a line at miss dot arabella dot flynn at gmail dot com with your preferred ebook format, and I’ll send back some books for review. 🙂
